Guest blog post written by Rameses Frederick, Program Coordinator at the Emory Hope Clinic in Atlanta.

As a community engagement event, “AMPlify your experience,” the Atlanta team presented a speed dating social mixer called “He Loves Me, He loves Me Not.” The event happened in conjunction with Valentine's Day and February's National Condom Month.

This was an opportunity to engage the community about our HIV prevention studies at Emory Hope Clinic www.ampstudy.org and www.giveprepashot.org in a social setting.

We partnered with ONE® Condoms to create a One Love Condom heart backdrop to engage attendees about having positive conversations about sex and condom negotiation. Attendees had the to opportunity to ask questions about their sexual health practices and were given safer sex kits. Attendees also had the opportunity to be screened for HIV and linked to care services with Mercy Care.
